Plywood
is a material manufactured from thin layers or “plies” of wood veneer that are glued together with adjacent layers having their wood grain rotated up to 90 degrees (cross-gaining) to one another with special technology. It not only reduces the tendency of wood to split, expansion and shrinkage, but also provides improved dimensional stability; and makes the strength of the panel consistent across all directions. Thus, plywood is suitable for both interior and exterior use, furniture, cabinet, table, concrete molding and flooring.
Types of Metro’s Plywood
Plywood Grade AA
suitable for furniture, smooth surface texture, thickness 6 / 10 / 15 / 20 mm.
Plywood Grade AB
suitable for construction moulding, smooth surface texture, thickness 6 / 10 / 15 / 20 mm.
Phenolic Film Faced Plywood
is made from 100% plywood, Melamine Glue, and Premium Phenolic Coating Surface. This plywood sheet is made and tested with rigorous procedures to ensure quality consistency. Widely used in civil engineering industry due to its re-usability, the phenolic film-faced plywood is used to smoothen the concrete surface of constructions. The smooth solid film can be glued on one or both sides of the panel and the edges are sealed with water resistance sealant to withstand moisture.
